Banana Steamer by Machina-Obscura Banana Steamer by Machina-Obscura

=========================

Another beautiful airship design by ~JanBoruta! Basically a steam yacht, this ship was quickly commissioned to transport wares between the colonies of the Kingdom of Cormorant and their homeland. Slow, but sturdy and reliable. Also, it can hold its battle against most air pirates, giving them a hard time trying to capture the ship.

Looks good initially but the design is all wrong, it can't be a converted steamer as it has turrets and they require a barbette and a huge amount of machinery that goes almost down to the bottom of the hull, they can't be added as an afterthought - [link]

The hull hasn't the room for turrets of that type and no they can't just be plonked on.

It looks as if it could be a disguised Q ship with the covers of the turrets removed but still doesn't quite work with those big turrets.

Fantastic drawing! This is a truly beautiful mechanical sketch, and has an especially high amount of character within it. It's not a massive military dreadnought or a speedy pirate cruiser, but a hard-scrabble cargo ship with a crew of working-class sailors and merchants. I just know there's a great story behind this...

Thanks! I am going to quote you in the description, you have a beautiful (and short) way of describing the ship and its background ;)
