Here s are fine. Don't want to flood my dA-account with too many cards ^^ *TheCoconutGuy
A part of the gameplay, when it comes to fighting, are the Action Cards. I am not yet sure about how you will get them - either randomly draw from a stack or earn it in your pen & paper adventures; I think it will be both These cards can help you in combat.
There are two phases to play out cards (maybe three): - at the beginning of a new turn (each player lay down covered cards they want to use, and then the actual turn begins - you cannot change the once layed down cards in the turn and if you cannot use all you've put down, the unused cards go in the used cards stack too) - in turn: these cards can be played when necessary in every minute of the turn. Some cards have restrictions, they need a certain event, as specified on the card, to happen first.
This is just a WIP so far, as there is not yet a fitting picture. Other than that, the text might change, but the rest is fine.
============= PLEASE REMEMBER! All of the pictures in this gallery and the rpg project "Machina Obscura" with all relating content are fully or in parts (if not otherwise identified, participating artists will get the credit they deserve) my personal creation and are therefore copyrighted to me. They are out-of-service for stock use, printing, reproduction and similar usage and so they may not be duplicated in any way without permission. Thank you.
A problem with randomly drawing them from a stack would be that you have little control of the flow of the battle. I´d rather see that you can freely select which to use.
hmm. how about the possibility to "buy" any card of the deck (meaning shuffeling through it, searching for the one card you want) with your action points for this turn? the latest version is: ============================== The Action Cards are shuffeled and put beside the field, each player drawing three cards from the card pile. Special Cards, such as carried items, boni from equipment, class-relative cards etc, are provided to the players too. (meaning that one would also hold special, character-related cards in his hands.) ==============================

Sounds good, the cards shouldn't make the battles random. Rather, they should work as a aid for battles. The same goes for the miniatures.
I´d rather try to use them as means to visualize the battle, and not make it a tabletop game that you just have some random dialogues in. (Thus also, I think its easier to have "Monster Counter", "Adventurer Counter", "Obstacle Counter" rather than "Mechanical Hellhound", "Adventurer with a samurai sword, the Victoriana MK14 handgun and a top hat" and "A barrel with old tuna fish" tokens )
Either way, I think you should go for what you think is best. I only hope that you´ll keep it roleplaying friendly as it is in fact a Roleplay.
Btw, is there any "to-do list" for the written material? Might jump on brainstorming a bit here and there, but I´d be easier if I know there's anything you want done
Yes, the cards are meant to be an aid for the battle. Check out the Combat Rules to see how they are used ^^ and tell me if that is okay for combat. Other than that, the tabletop part will concentrate on the combat, the rest (story and roleplaying) will be the pen & paper part. What do you mean with that "counters", btw? I would be happy about a deeper description of that. As I have seen it so far, I wanted to let the players encounter certain enemies on the battle field, like the Spiderboss [link] for example, but also enemies that can vary in size and strength (especially when it comes to wild animals).
And yes, there is a "to-do" list for written material. XD But as you know, I am not at home atm, so I will send you an update on this as soon as I have my notes with me, allright?

Im not sure if I have sent a message about the counters, but what I meant with that is that you should have things symbolising certain types of creatures/monsters/NPC's/PCs instead of trying to make figures for ALL of them.
While the Spiderbot could represent an actual spiderbot, It might be an idea to just call it "Greater Automaton". That way, the Storyteller (Better word than DM in most cases) can make up his own foes and creatures without feeling restricted to what miniatures he have.
For example, in an adventure (The starter one?) one of the bosses could be a Greater Automaton. But in this particular adventure, that Greater Automaton IS the Spiderbot. That way, the miniature will serve both as a "general" counter and a representation of the Spiderbot from that adventure aswell.
yes, I have thought about that, since it will greatly reduce the production costs and the costs the players will have when they buy the game panaphernalia. as for the spiderboss, of course this willbe just for one adventure, but canbe used differently afterwards. there will be no fixed attributes printed onto the miniature, so youcangive him any atributes you like. thanks forthe constructive criticism.
