A Sign of Life

Journal Entry: Wed May 6, 2009, 12:42 PM

A Sign of Life .

Hello there, my fellow Steampunk Enthusiasts.

It has been quite some time that I updated this account, this was due to a critical lack of time. I had so much to do these past months...but I have finally found some time to work on the project, again.

Momentarily, I am working on a new World Map that suits the new ideas I have had for the game world.
For example, until now, there was mainly just "english-type" empires. What I want to add now are arabic-, german-, african-, asian-, native american- and indian-style societies. Also, there will be a complete overhaul, so to speak, of the geographical things. Prepare yourself for a brave new world...

Along with this, I am working on an improved Profession System. There will be so many jobs for you to choose... ^^

HELP NEEDED
I do need some help with the Damage Infliction System. While I have a good idea on how to distribute the inflicted damage, I hesitate about the Health Points and how much damage the weapons inflict in relation to that. So if anyone wants to help here, you just tell me, I'd be most grateful.
Also, I need a good way to test the Talents. Help is needed here, too. Note me for deeper info.

Hope to hear from you all, soon. ^^

- Florian

hey, i just wanted to let you know that I'm excited to see another steam punk game popping up! I am currently in the process of creating my table top game in steampunk as well. It's more in the vein of Heroscape than RPG, but this looks awsome. So, as the deal goes, I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine! ;) Keep up the good work, cheers!

Is this game still under serious development?

I'd be more then willing to help you with setting up damage values for your weapons. (And how they'd be decided in game)I'm well learned in D&D and other tabletop games, wargames, as well as in online RPing, so I have no shortage of experience in this area.

You hack your way through the jungle and there comes a point where the guide says "get out your cameras. The gorillas are around the corner." I grabbed my sketch book. The guide looked at me like I was an idiot.
